Reymundo Perez, 1997 Brea Olinda graduate is the art supervisor for the series at "Avatar" films. He is working with movie director and former Brea resident James Cameron on the film's next installment (courtesy Lightstrom Inc.)


    Most Breans know film director, deep sea explorer, and screen writer James Cameron resided in Brea for five years. He is currently working on two more Avatar films at his studio Lightstrom Entertainment Inc.

      Another local, 1997 Brea Olinda High School track star and honor student Reymundo Perez, completed an internship at Lightstorm 8 years ago that turned into a job. He is now working on the next installment of Avatar and is responsible for facilitating with the art department from inception and oversees the continuity of the design through post-production and visual effects.

        Reymundo said he really enjoys working with Jim. “He is full of passion and ideas". What does Raymundo for fun? He enjoys running and is currently preparing for his 10th LA Marathon, he is training in Krav Maga, enjoys traveling, and hosting visitors from other countries. Perez is also taking dance classes in swing and salsa, performs improv with a team as a way to not only have fun through comedy, but to develop public speaking, as well as writing. One day he hopes to tell exciting science fiction stories of his own.
