Sixteen year-old BOHS junior, Rachel Gallegos, won the coveted title of  grand champion at the Brea Olinda High School "Brea Idol 2012" talent contest on Thursday, March 8 at Brea Olinda High School Auditorium. In addition to  grand champion, Rachel also placed first in the vocal solo division with her rendition of Adele's "Someone Like You". Rachel is currently a member of Brea Olinda High school Show Choirs, Spellbound and Masquerade. She also held the lead role of Peter Pan in Stagelight Family Productions "Peter Pan" at the  Curtis Theatre last summer.
