BOHS Students Honored with National C-SPAN Award

CSPAN Video Contest Winners
Brea High students receive national honors by CSPAN: GITA (Global IT Academy students)- John Lee, Patrick Garrido, and Jeffrey Madsen were honored by CSPAN for being a finalist in their StudentCam video competition. They placed in the top 75 winning videos out of 1203 nationally submitted videos. They were  only four winners in California.  In the competition, students were asked to focus on any section of the Preamble, Articles, or Amendments of the U.S. Constitution. Their video was on the peaceful assembly. They were able to document and present the Occupy LA Movement in an 8 minute video. Representatives from CSPAN, Time Warner Cable, Assemblyman Chris Norby’s office and Senators Huff’s office were present to honor the winning students. They also brought the CSPAN multimedia bus for tours.
