Three Brea Olinda High School grads got together and did something very special recently. Ricki Kincer, Andrew Witt and Silvia Pulido represented Sunland Window Cleaning in Brea, and donned costumes, of Captain America, Spiderman and Wonder Woman, respectively, while they descended the roof at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA. The trio came down the side of the building and cleaned dirty windows on the Fifth Floor so the pediatric patients could watch the grime-fighters. Many of the children have been patients for a long time. I don’t know who enjoyed the window cleaning more -- the patients or the window cleaning crew from Brea.

KABC-TV Channel 7 news televised the super event. “It was awesome the patients could escape into a fantasy world and forget they were in a hospital room for a little while,” said the newscaster. Spiderman, aka, Andrew Witt, commented, “It was great, it’s all about making kids happy.”
