BOHS Teacher Jeff Weber honored with numerous awards

Jeff Weber, was named teacher of the year, and Orance County Teacher of the Year Nominee, Kiwanis Club of Brea Distingushed Award, and Brea Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award.

     Jeff Weber has taught for 23 and 10 of those years have been at Brea Olinda High School. He runs an outstanding program organizing individual curriculum for special needs students working at a variety of levels. Jeff incorporates perhaps as much technology in his lessons as any other teacher at BOHS also exposing, his students to many workability project through school-day field trips throughout the year.
     Jeff creates a family atmosphere in his classroom and promotes the inclusion of his students on campus. Currently serving as advisor, he assisted in the creation of the Best Buddies Program. a club that weekly pairs up general education student vounteers with students in his program for social activities and school events. Over the years, students in Jeff’s programs have performed in Dance Production, Mr. Brea Contest, served as managers for athletic teams, and participated in pep asembly activities and campus beautification projects.
     Grant awards initiated by Jeff brought many resources to  support the student outreach program. In January Jeff was recongized as Brea Citizen of the Year by the Brea Chamber of Commerce. The Kiwanis Club of Brea presented Jeff the Kiwanis Distingushed Award. Jeff is a tremendous representative as BOUSD Teacher of the Year and Orange County Teaher of the Year Nominee. He defintely makes a difference in people’s lives.
