Brea Old and New: Tick-Tock, History Isn't So Boring After All™ ~ Charlie the Clock

Brea Council Member Marty Simonoff post-election message

6 years ago by in ( News , Old/New , Welcome to Brea )

Marty Simonoff re-elected to Brea City Council

I would like to thank the citizens of Brea for again expressing their confidence in me by allowing me another term on the Brea City Council.  I would further like to thank all of the candidates involved in this election for not employing what is called a “hit campaign” on other candidates which only serves to dirty the election process.

As this newly formed council moves forward there remain issues that must be addressed.  In addition to the day-to-day operational and service delivery concerns there are major topics to address.  There is the loss of redevelopment as a tool, the on-going concerns with pension reform, looking for further cost saving measures through sharing of services or regionalization.  These are just a few, but they are issues that will have a long-term impact on the fiscal health of the Brea community.

I am hopeful that this council will address these and other issues in a manner that allows for Brea to remain a premiere community, but an efficiently run community that can continue to give back to its citizens.
