This year marks a very significant anniversary for the children and families in Brea Little League as they celebrate 50 years as a Chartered Little League program! President of Little League for the past two years Alex Ribble said “ Our Golden Anniversary, the BLL Board of Directors and our volunteers aim to make this our very best season and are excited to be a part of the celebration."

Brea Little League celebrates their 50th anniversary this year. Ray Gonzalez, who has served over nine years with Little league in various positions is now serving his first term as Brea Little League’s President

In 1963, a Little League Charter was created for the City of Brea to establish a local Little League program. On March 16th, 1964, a letter was read from Jim D. Coon, Recreation Director, in front of the Brea City Council requesting a $2,500 donation to complete the set up of a franchised Little League baseball program, making this the only donation to the League as it became self-supporting. Jack Woody, then District Administrator for Little League and Don Sims were present to answer questions. After discussion, a motion was made and approved by Brea City Council.  “Today the league gets better and better with people like Ray Gonzalez, who has served over nine years with the league in various positions including Vice President and is now serving his first term as Brea Little League’s President. "James said.
