From the old comes the new: Olinda Elementary School.  In October of 2010 construction began on the new Olinda Elementary School situated on Birch Street adjacent to the Sports Park. First phase of construction included: Sixteen regular classrooms, three kindergarten classrooms, the office library/media center building, lunch shelter area and all the fields.  Olinda Elementary School, designed to be a K-6 school, is now completed and will house over 450 students. Students from the old campus will occupy their new school on Monday, January 9.

The fate of the old Olinda Elementary School located on Lilac Lane has not yet been disclosed.
