A message from CITY OF BREA

This is Anna Cave with an important announcement regarding City of Brea Civic and Cultural Center procedures for Monday, March 31. The building did sustain some earthquake damage. Community Development and Public Works staff have worked diligently to make safety assessments and repairs and ensure the building is safe for entry. On Monday, employees are asked to report to work at their usual work time. For non-safety employees, casual dress, including jeans, are allowed. Closed toe shoes are highly encouraged. Offices will remain closed to the public until 1:00 p.m. to allow staff adequate time to clean up work areas and prepare to receive the public. Phone lines are now operational and are expected to be answered as usual beginning with regular office hours at 7:30 a.m. All other City locations including the Police Department front counter on Level 1, Community Center, Senior Center, City Yard and Fire Stations will operate under routine conditions. Please be aware that the occurrence of significant additional quakes could cause this direction to change. If this is the case, you will be contacted by your supervisor with additional instructions. Stay safe…stay prepared!
