When entering Phans55 Fullerton, you will immediately notice their sophisticated, soothing, contemporary décor in chocolate hues and open signature kitchen. While creating the right ambiance is a great asset, people will travel far to an establishment for good eats! The Phan family, mom Susie (co-executive chef), dad Tom (entrepreneurial mindset), son Ryan (operations manager, marketing brand manager and janitor) and daughters, Francesca, Paula and Jessica (law students who are very active in the business), are foodies at heart taking their culinary influences from all over the world traveling to places such as Thailand, Italy, and Vietnam.

With 30 years of catering experience accommodating parties of all shapes and sizes in Southern California, the Phan’s opened their first Phans55 restaurant in Irvine, just four years ago.

Phans55 is an advocate of natural ingredients serving customers fresh vegetables using local-grown greens and naturally raised meat, without the use of antibiotic, hormones or drugs. Their goal is to educate customers about good food. Being eco-friendly is also very important to their family, using energy efficient equipment and products.

Recently Phan’s joined Brea Chamber, celebrating its 100 years in 2013, and were told that they may be the first Vietnamese restaurant to join the chamber. While this seems unlikely, Vietnamese fusion food has not evolved like Chinese food, but it is becoming more and more popular with an explosion in San Francisco. The OC is behind but thanks to Phans55 we are able to experience delicious, healthy and authentic Vietnamese cuisine. In comparison to other Asian restaurants, Phans55 sauces are lighter than traditional Chinese food, with fresh ingredients similar to Japanese and Thai restaurants, however, their spices are not as strong as Thai cuisine.

Since opening their restaurants in Orange County with a third in the planning stages to be situated in the Los Angeles area, they have generated a lot of interest with most of their business through word of mouth. Basically, people need to be more adventurous and discover these great restaurants right in our neck of the woods. www.phans55.com.
