New Directions Veterans Choir

In 2010 America’s Got Talent auditioned the New Directions Veterans Choir, a choir comprised of former military soldiers who were once homeless and are now performing nationwide to help other veterans make a smooth transition back home. On Saturday, October 13th at 5:00 p.m., we are fortunate to have the opportunity to watch them perform at the Curtis Theatre in Brea.

Their performance on America’s Got Talent can be seen on YouTube.  It currently has over 375,000 views.  Piers Morgan, former judge of America's Got Talent exclaimed, “I think I speak for everyone here.  It is one of the most powerful, emotional, inspiration things that we have seen on America’s Got Talent.”

Check out the video of these courageous heroes who also have the amazing gift of song. One of the choir members, Carlton Griffin, was homeless for over 25 years saying, “10 years ago I grabbed my shopping cart and walked 28 miles to New Directions and I got my life together.”
