Are you a fan of Man V Food as seen on the Travel Channel? Well, this may be our local version and much easier on the digestive system, depending on who you are?? Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour is announcing their 3rd Annual Charity Ice Cream Eating Challenge, with proceeds from the event going to Choc Children’s and Make a Wish. Ready or not, here it comes!

This Monday, June 18, the event begins at any of their Farrell’s California locations. Interested challengers who qualify will be invited back for the big championship to be held in Brea on Sunday, July 15.

The kick-off party in Brea will start early Monday morning at just after 6:00 a.m. If you are an early riser, you may want to attend the festivities as they’re putting on quite a show. Choc Children’s mascot CHOCO the Bear will be timing former champs and challengers. KTLA 5 Morning News with Allie MacKay will be broadcasting live and Manny on the Streets from KIIS-FM show will also be there giving away prizes. Then at around 6:20 a.m. the Aquabats, a new kids Saturday morning live action show on Hub Network, will challenge a 4-person team to an ultimate ice cream match. Lastly, you may want to stick around to ensure your chances at winning the Farrell’s 2012 World Fastest and Best Ice Cream Eater.  'Cause at around 7:20 a.m. Farrell’s will elaborate about their new professional category and will have two professional eaters on hand to show everyone how it’s done!  Wow, all this talk about ice cream has got me craving, you know where I am going.  See ya!
