Did you know department? Former Ladycat basketball star player Sarita Stamps is head coach for El Dorado High School this year and loves her job. While at Brea-Olinda she was named one of the top 15 players in Southern California in 2006 and earned second-team All-CIF honors and was a member of CIF .

Sarita said she couldn’t ask for a better team. “Basketball was my first love and coaching a varsity team is amazing! I've now seen the game from the perspective of a player, official and now as a coach,” she said. “I miss playing, and enjoy officiating, but coaching is by far my favorite angle of the game. …. It’s a true blessing to be a head coach.”

The coach said the job keeps her in the gym. Will she use some techniques she learned from Coach Jeff Sink?

“Coach Sink demanded a lot from his players,” she said. “I do too.”
