Hope for Julie: 43 year old Julie Ann Galarze, 1991 Brea Olinda High School grad, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

The devastating news for Julie included the fact that the cancer metastasized to her right hip and leg bone and also completely destroyed her left shoulder bone.

In addition to the surgery, Julie, will undergo aggressive radiation therapy, as well as daily doses of cancer medication and weekly shots to stop the spread of this horrible disease.

Julie is the loving mother of Brittany, 22, a 2011 BOHS grad and Brianna, 8, a second-grader at Mariposa Elementary.

Julie is a beautiful young woman, known for her radiant smile, her perfect hair, an uncanny sense of humor and her loud, yet melodious and joyful laughter.

The family is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, November 21, for medical expenses at The Ritz Gardens, 11201 First Ave in Whittier. Host cocktail hour starts at 5 p.m. and dinner is at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person.

There will be a dance-a-thon from 7 p.m.-11 p.m. Her brother, Ron , will be dancing for 4 hours. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, silent auction and door prizes.

Please RSVP to Ronnie Galarze, 714-875-9727, or Jennie Galarze, 714-255-0442, for the dinner or if you want to be a dance sponsor or help in some other way.
