Sad sad story and you can help...Country Hills teacher Janet Yergler was admitted to the hospital in January in Septic Shock. When a person goes into septic shock, the blood flow races to the main organs, causing the extremities to be robbed of blood flow. Because of this Janet had both of her feet amputated below the knee. Just today (March 27) she was informed that she will need to have her left hand amputated to the wrist, and the fingertips on her right hand amputated to the knuckle. She was also informed that insurance does not usually cover the cost of a hand prosthetic. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated by the family. "We all have faith that our community in Brea can rally and help support our dear teacher and friend,“ said Janet’s dear friend Mary Dunn, a fellow teacher at Country Hills.

A group of Country Hills Elementary School parents and students in Brea are raising money for the long time Country Hills teacher at on April 5 (Janet’s birthday) from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Locations: Brea Glenbrook Clubhouse, Greenbriar Lane and Associated Road (near Imperial Highway)

“We hope the community comes out to support one of their own. Cash donations can be made at either location as well.” and donations can also be made at GoFundMe (enter Janet Yergler),” the teachers said.
