Where can you go for a budget-friendly community food festival? If you guest the obvious: Brea, you’re right! Going on 28 years, the Original Food Fest (Brea Fest) is slated for Friday August 22, from 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. at 1 Civic Center Circle at the corner of Birch St. and Randolph Ave. I think it’s safe to say many people will enjoy Brea Fest as a mere $3 is the cost per person for delicious food and beverages from over 35 outstanding restaurants!

Held at the Brea Civic & Cultural Center, this family event draws thousands each year with great live bands, outdoor dancing, a gallery exhibit and artist demonstrations, along with theatre performances. And for your little ones, “Kidsville” returns with kid-pleasing food and entertainment, face painting and make-and-take crafts.

The food festival helps to support many of the city’s ongoing activities; we appreciate, such as Curtis Theatre productions, Brea Gallery exhibits, Concerts in the Park, and arts education programs. It’s truly a community collaboration of volunteers, restaurants, and distributors who donate their products as area businesses sponsor much of the entertainment. If you would like to take part in Brea Fest, please call (714) 990-7771.
