Teddy bears have become cover models for two novels by Brea resident Jackie Hyman, who writes under the pen name Jacqueline Diamond.

Jackie, who's sold 90 novels, has rewritten and updated two of her classic romantic comedies, "Unlikely Partners" and "Capers and Rainbows".  She used photos of several of her stuffed animals to create colorful covers, which she posted with the books on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com.

Both books can be read as electronic books.

"The notion of 'Unlikely Partners' brought to mind my teddy bear and my younger son's lion," Jackie said. "I fooled around with taking pictures of them and was surprised at how expressive they looked."

Jacqueline Diamond also has a February paperback release, "The Detective's Secret Daughter". It's the latest entry in the "Jackie's Safe Harbor Medical" miniseries, published by Harlequin American Romance.
