John Pohlen, 54, died peacefully on December 23. A Vigil will be held January 24 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be held January 25 at 10 a.m. St. Angela.

Sad note: John Pohlen, 54, died peacefully on December 23. He was awonderful man. You will never find a more devoted family man or a harder worker. He loved making people laugh. Salon Equipment International, Inc., under his guidance, grew into one of the top salon and spa equipment businesses in the industry. John and wife Cindy (married 30 years) attended almost every basketball game, home or away, their children John, Tom, and Jeanette participated in.  Former Ladycat Jeanette Pohlen played so well at Stanford she was drafted to play professionally in the WNBA for the Indiana Fever and she just completed the 2012 season. John enjoyed the outdoors and neighbors said he enjoyed playing music while he barbecued. This loving, caring, and giving man who loved people and liked to travel will be so missed!   A Vigil will be held January 24 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church.  The memorial mass will be held January 25 at 10 a.m. St. Angela.
