What has to happen before any real attention is given to this playground-park? Nothing new since 1994. Photo and statement as seen on Lagos De Moreno Park-Laurel Elementary Facebook

Laurel Elementary PTA is asking those community members, Fanning Elementary, and Laurel Elementary families to attend the BOUSD Board Meeting this Monday, October 27 at 6:00 p.m. sharp at Brea City Hall Council Chambers regarding Lagos De Moreno Park. The District owns this park-playground, but has not made improvements to it in over 20 years.

Revitalize the Heart of Brea:Lagos De Moreno Park-Laurel Elementary is not on the agenda but during the discussion period, they would like as many supporters as possible to show up in force to help answer these questions: “What’s the reason for this lack of attention? Our families and community want answers. Why hasn’t the BOUSD School Board, our elected District leadership, given priority to this project? When will a project plan be completed so work can begin to find funding for our playground-park?”

Note: Children are welcome to attend all school board meetings.
