Brea's capital improvement project has begun along Carbon Canyon Road and will continue through the end of the month, according to Chris Ryan of the city's communications office. Water mains, vaults and valves will be replaced along the road during this project.  Work will take place during the hours of 9 a.m.-3 p.m., so as to avoid traffic congestion.  Ryan said that the city is waiting to hear from Cal Trans to see if the road will be resurfaced after the work is completed.
