Russ Voisan was admitted to the ER in the Chicago area this past July 30th with meningococcal meningitis. Russ’s parents Ronna and Greg watched their beautiful 26 year old son fight for his life for several weeks. Russ was flown this past week on an air ambulance and admitted to Kindred Hospital in Brea for many months of rehab. His first request on arriving home was a burger from Brea's Best!

This bacterial form of meningitis is extremely rare and he is one of a few to survive. He will have medical issues and surgeries for quite some time but he is in good spirits and happy to be alive.

The Brea community has shown they care about one of their own who grew up here. The medical bills will be be astronomical. People can send contributions to Russ care of Greg Voisan 315 N. Associated Rd #905, Brea, Ca 92821. They also have a Facebook page with access to a Paypal account at: Russell Voisan Medical Relief Fund. It's a long haul and Russ is giving it his all. He is facing many more surgeries and months of rehab. I am sure prayers, calls, visits, and cards would be appreciated.Kindred Hospital-875 N. Brea Blvd, Brea, Ca 92821 ..Room 507B.

Russ was a Graphic designer in Chicago before he got this dreadful disease. He plans to return when he recovers.
