  • Farrell’s sweetens the deal with Angels Kid Club boxes

    Orange County, CA (April 9, 2013) – This year, kids receiving their Jr. Angels Kids Club boxes are getting some extra sweet treats compliments of the program’s presenting sponsor, Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour Restaurants. In addition to all the fantastic Angels gear included in the kits, members will find a Farrell’s Kazoo, offers for free candy, food, and opportunities to receive free Farrell’s ice cream, including a free Farrell’s Famous Pig’s Trough. Farrell’s will also host an Angels Family Sunday Sundae Ice Cream Party before two Angels Sunday games (dates TBA) for Kids Club Members that attend those games.


      Jr. Angels Kids Club kits are now available for purchase at Angel Stadium, from the Angels website or at any Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour locations. The Kids Club kits sold at Farrell’s can be purchased for $24.95 and include an additional $30 in free Farrell’s goodies not found anywhere else. There are a limited number of Jr. Angels Kids Club kits and will be unavailable once sold out.

        “Farrell’s is so excited to partner with such a great organization,” said Michael Fleming, Farrell’s CEO. “The Angels fans have been fantastic and we’re so pleased by the response to the kits. Since they started selling in Farrell’s locations a few weeks ago, we’ve already sold out of our first two orders!” said Fleming.

          Throughout the season, the Angels will randomly pick Kids Club Members to win Angels autographed merchandise, to serve as honorary bat kid at an Angels game, make the “Play Ball” announcement prior to a game, or win a Farrell’s Zoo Party for up to 10 people.

      The Brea Olinda Boys Basketball Team is having a fantastic season! Following their Tournament Championship in the Torrey Pines Holiday Classic and their recent drubbings over league opponents Esperanza and El Modena, this season’s record has improved to 14-3, and these boys are currently on a 7-game win streak.

        Be sure to catch all the action this Tuesday (1/8) at 7:30 when the Wildcats play host to Villa Park (13-4) who has been one of the hottest teams in the County winning their last 13 of 14 games and is undefeated in Century League play. Alsobe sure to show your support in wearing white to this gameto match the Wildcats home white uniforms. It will be sure to be a packed gym for this “white-out” game with school back in session.

          In fact, the first students in the designated student section for the boys game willreceive a free basketball t-shirt while supplies last.     Bob and Ramona Farrell

    Mr. Farrell, Founder of Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour, is coming from Vancouver, Washington to spend a few days in the area. Health issues have kept Bob Farrell from attending the recent grand openings of Brea and Rancho Cucamonga Farrell's locations.  Farrell's Brea is holding an event on Sunday, March 18, at 11:30 a.m. inviting everyone to attend the festivities planned for Mr. Farrell.  There will be an official proclamation ceremony from Mayor Don Schweitzer and council members honoring Mr. Farrell with a plaque dedication at the event.
