Nicole and Jake McEntee

Big sister Nicole McEntee was chosen by the Brea American Legion Auxiliary, among all her junior classmates, to represent BOHS as the Delegate at Girls State due to her academic and leadership skills. Only 500 high school juniors from schools throughout the State are selected for this nationally recognized leadership program. The program helps the girls learn about structure and responsibilities of state government. Nicole will be staying at Claremont McKenna College for a week with the other students and they will be living as self-governing citizens.

Younger brother Jake McEntee is making his mark at BOHS. On Saturday, January 28, Jake represented BOHS at the Orange County Freshman Wrestling Championship held at Sunny Hills High School. The competition was stiff with twenty high schools participating in this event, but Jake remained focused and managed to pin his first three opponents, winning his fourth match 13-1. As a result, Jake came in 1st place earning the title of Orange County Freshman Champ!
